Reconstruct July 7, 2006

Starting from today dah malas nak menulis fully in English. Jangan marah ek.. belum start study lagi kat UK, so lembab sikit nak menulis in English. Lagipun, kita kena kekalkan jati diri kita sbg anak Malaysia.. lol.

Today dapat e-mail reply dari Sheffield. Prof Fabio setuju utk jadi supervisor I, with condition: kena ambil Integrated PhD programme. After some discussion with my boss, so I feel satistified and more focused. Oklah, depa kat UK pun selective sikit utk ambil PhD student. As an academician yg setahun jagung ni, boleh pahamlah byk mana sgt experience dlm research. Depa punya programmer pun dah Doctrate; so what do u expect? Lagipun, cam kata boss aku tu, lebih baik mintak je 4 years scholarship; sebab org yg pi PhD 3 yrs programme pun majority end-up 4 yrs gak. At least by the 4th year, tak payahlah aku nk keluarkan duit sendiri.

Anyway, I thought of looking through few other universities. Kotlah Sheffield ni reject lak bila dah sampai board meeting. Better be prepared, kan?

Hmm.. a good topic for everyone. I read this in Kosmo, in Malay today.

Interview No 1 July 4, 2006

I’m going for an interview this evening at 4.30 pm KL time (9.30 am UK time). There’ll be 3 people who will be in the interview panel. I’m always lousy at interviews..lol. I hope my tongue will work fine this time. Oh my.. oh my.. nervous! By the way, the interview is to see whether I’m a suitable candidate to join a research group at U of Sheffield, UK. Whatever it will be, I have to go through this. Wish me luck!

This morning, I attended a briefing for new students entering the faculty. New faces, fresh spirits; the real journey will soon begins.
