Anyway.. I have a big doubt, especially on trusting information on internet – because of the expanding info and data on the net, no doubt that most of it will be lost someday. Or maybe the server went down when you really want to access it. So, I’m going to blog it anyway..

On how to download from the Russian website :
Scroll down to “1. Cambridge Practice Tests for IELTS 1″.There you can see everything in English.

Click on the file name you wish to download.Now you will see a window pop up.

All what you’ve got to do is you have to click on a number which has been asked in the “Russian text” in the pop up window.

Don’t worry! Just look at the “LAST (RUSSIAN) WORD” in the pop up window.
How to know what number should be clicked on?

In the “last RUSSIAN word”,

“один” means 1, “два”—2, “три”—3, “четыре”—4, “пять”—5.

IELTS preparation & preparing for UK October 30, 2006

Dah confirm date to sit for IELTS – it will be on 25/11/2006. So kenalah ammend the previous date as stated :

26/10/2006 – register IELTS, RM510 (done on time)
25/11/2006 – sit for IELTS exam, aim for at least band 6.5 with 6.0 in writing
08/12/2006 – obtain IELTS results, decide on Sheffield or Southampton, inform UK ppl my resullts, pindah rumah AU5, start shopping
11/12/2006 – ask for offer letter by fax for visa application, start the process with UKM’s registrar, JPA bla.. bla..
27/12/2006 – flying to UK (boleh ke nih?.. i’m thinking of going before x’mas)

During Eid’s long holiday, I did some shopping. I bought few things -

For Hazeeq :
2 gloves(RM10/each), 1 scarf(RM10), 1 cap(RM15), 1 sweater(RM49), 1 down jacket(RM80)

For Myself :
1 gloves(RM19), 1 scarf(RM10), 1 sweater(RM50), 1 down jacket(RM85), 2 pair of long johns(RM29/each)

For Mizi:
1 gloves(RM19), 1 scarf(RM10)

So – tinggal long johns utk Hazeeq, sweater & down jackets utk Mizi akan tgk kat bundle. Jimat sket. And ada a friend pun nak jual sweaters & jackets kat I. Family dia some time ago pernah dok kat US.. so banyaklah reta bende sebegitu nak dijual – kat Msia pun tak pakai. I nak tgk dulu apa yg boleh rembat, pastu nak offer gak kat few other friends going for further study abroad – especially yg bawa ramai anak tu.. mesti depa nak beli few. My friends kata beli serba satu je apa yg perlu, selebihnya beli kat car boot sale kat sana. Ohh .. after dah usha few places, I rasa yg termurah kat “Travel for All” – kat Leisure Mall –> cheaper dari Winter House atau Universal Traveller kat mana-mana branch pun.

Ohh.. also nak beli satu laptop & satu digital camera. Dah usha harga terendah – Dell, Dual Core processor, 12.1″ screen, weight around 1.9 kg, RM3,900 = nak beli online. Digital camera – Nikon Coolpix S7c, Wifi capability, Anti-shock, 7.1 mg pixel, RM1,380 = kat FS Photo, Lot LG159, Sungei Wang Plaza, Jalan Bukit Bintang. Tel 03-2141 1893.

Well, this blog is meant for reference to the others pursuing their studies as well. I really hope it will do a lot of help.

Heading for Sheffield, anyway October 9, 2006

Hai.. byk sangat tukar fikiran. Lol. Ceritanya.. Prof from IS Dept in Sheffield at last reply my e-mail and after few times changing views, he agrees to supervise me. But with condition, I need to repeat the IELTS exam due to higher requirement by the department. Everyone is happy.. including my boss. He really thinks it is necessary for me to find a good mentor like the Prof PW (he actually recommended me the Prof) and with good research like what he proposed, I will have better future afterwards. Afterall, Prof PW has already think for me on what area I should start my PhD work.

Now, I’m shifting back my plan going to Sheffield and will prepare for IELTS starting next week. This week, I will concentrate fully on finishing all the office burden .. marking papers.. come out with carry marks for students.. evaluate 2 undergrad theses and 1 master theses.. and not forgetting, the details for my next appraisal.

Hopefully this time everything will be ok. Wish me luck!

Starting entry October 1, 2006

Salam all,

Starting new entry today.. new blog for new group of people. Today will be two days before Eid el-Fitri. Can’t wait for it!

Dapat tahu pasal Multiply blog ni dari Sue- masa kitorang keluar makan Burger King kat tepi highway Karak-Gombak. Tengah malam buta lagi – citer ttg future life, excitement nak pegi UK, perkembangan anak2x (ahaks).. bla.. bla..

Nak try lah.. utk share experience ngan family and friends; especially those in Malaysia. Future upgrade – will block other users; to avoid spam and sick ppl outside there.
