Monday, 30th May 2011.

7.00 am – woke up at 5 just now for Subuh, then sleep again till 7.  By the time I woke up, one of the Korean girl has already went back to Daegu. Set aside the clothes for laundry, took a bath and ready to go.

Went downstairs at the guesthouse’s office for breakfast. Lots of girls are having breakfast as well. I had hot milo that Wani brought with her. Cooked roti telur yg sangat sedap. The owner of the house suggested that we go to Yongdang Village instead of Seokguram and Bulguk-sa temple coz it will be more worth it.

10.30 am – went out to catch the bus to Yongdang Village with Du joining us. The bus journey is around 30 mins. Quite expensive, bus fare is W1500. From the main road we walk along a train track for 30 mins before we reach the village. The weather was really nice and the view is stunning, something that we cannot find in Malaysia.
1.50 pm – went back to the city centre, and this time it was cheaper by W500. Finally arrived at our room around 3.00 pm for lunch and Zuhur. Went out back cycling around the town. Gosh.. Gyeongju is definitely a place to visit. We cycled to visit the tomb, the Gyerim forest which has a bit of Nami Island scenery (which was why I decided that we can skip that), and Anap-ji pond.  All those were beautiful and unique on its own. 7.45 pm, we were still by the pond, taking loads of pictures. When we were leaving, it was already 7.50. We were supposed to return the bikes before 8! And so, both of us were cycling with our head level to the shoulder and went as fast as the wind, shakily but moving. My cousin even went the wrong way few times and did so much more when reaching the rental place. Lol. By the time we were there, the lady owner said ,”I saw you.. You fast!”. It was hilarious n really fun having giggle all the way back to the hostel. Just before reaching there, we bought vegetarian pastries in a shop called Paris Baguette with chocolate drink. Yummy!!

At night, we packed our bags and met Wani’s friend, a Canadian named Beth. She was so lovely and fun. Then, went to the rooftop to meet other people staying in the same hostel. Met Phillip, from Germany and some more girls from Korea, and there’s also Rebecca from Australia.  We spent like 15 mins up there and said goodbye to everyone as we are going to leave early tomorrow for Jeju.

Wow.. Can’t believe we are already half way of our journey.  I have done so much in these 6 days, and am glad that nothing bad happened.  So far, everything went as planned, and even better alhamdulillah. I start to feel a bit worried about the class that I’m leaving behind, but I have made sure that everything planned ahead before I went here. InsyaAllah, hopefully I will be able to keep it up.
