07.00 am – Woke up and took a bath. Last night we were discussing about the hostel’s owner attitude towards Asians. And then, I searched through the internet on its review and voila… My assumption is true! It’s not nice to assume that a person is a sample of where he belongs to, but this guy is definitely one exception of a typical South Korean who I recognize as helpful people, friendly and really proud to be a Korean. This guy is an opposite of everything I mentioned!

09.20 am – After a delicious breakfast from Wani the chef, we took an airport bus towards the airport.  Today we are going to visit many places around Jeju. First stop, Jungmun area. We went to the magnificent Jusungjeollie rock pillars.  These are formed from lava cooled down when it touched the sea. Lots of people around but we managed to take great pictures and video.  The area has been rewarded as one of the UNESCO World Heritage spot.

11.30 am – After the volcanic rocks, we went to the Cheonjiyeon waterfall, which also covers Seonmingyo Bridge or the Bridge of Seven Fairies Legend. This is where you can imagine the sight from Asians folk tales where you have a bridge overlooking a beautiful waterfall.  Very scenic!

Cheonjiyeon waterfall.. beautiful.

The road was uphill, so we walked towards the destination for about 20 minutes. Arrived at the bridge area, we took some pictures, then head to the Teddy Bear Museum. Another walk for another 5 minutes towards a colourful building, which is Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

Exhibition of cute teddies @ the Teddy Bear Museum

The museum is opposite of that building.  We spent quite sometime in the museum.  All about teddy bears.  Made me thought about Hazeeq.  When he was little, he loves to have his teddy around, the one like Mr Bean’s.

02.30 pm – We went to the Jeju Airport, where from here it is easier to catch a bus to our next destination.  We ate our lunch in a cafe, supposed to be vegetarian sandwich, but surprisingly there is crab meat inside (which really suits me).  I took the opportunity to perform solat here.

The traffic officers that I spotted on in the airport. Very cute!

From the airport, we took a bus heading to Jeju City.  Next, we took another bus that went to Gimnyeong Maze Park (김녕미로공원).   The route that the bus took  was really scenic, it went along coast where I can see black sand beaches with lava rocks .  The bus only stops at the main road, and from there it was another 20-30 minutes walk before we reached the park.  Gosh.. lots of walking in Jeju Island!

The park was massive and all the alleys were structured to get you to the ending spot (where successful ones ring the bell).  It may look complicated, but actually it was quite fun.   In about 20 minutes, we successfully rang the bell and merrily finish our sandwich in one of the garden next to the maze.

At night, we went to the Mysterious Road (신비한 도로), where the twilight zone thingy happens.  This road looks like going uphill, when actually the opposite.  To experience, we went there by a cab.  The taxi driver even demonstrated on how our taxi goes uphill when both of his legs were up and the gear turned into neutral.  Awesome!  You can watch other people’s video here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6YxZmnpBRY&feature=related.
